About the role:

As an Engineering Fix-it-Now Manager you will oversee the rapid engineering resolution of plant issues that have potential immediate impact to safety and production

You will report to the Director, CFFF Technical Service and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% onsite.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead EFIN engineering functions to support the operations of Columbia Fuel Operations.



  • Coordinate the engineering modifications/solutions necessary for urgent need circumstances within the plant as identified by either operations or maintenance leadership.



  • Develop projects to cost-effectively and ensure customer satisfaction.



  • Promote and help professional and technical development of staff.



  • Primary focus is providing engineering resources for making shorter term configuration change for safe, efficient operations.



  • Determine priorities with the Operations and Maintenance leadership to implement short-term required engineering solutions.



  • Initiate, route and accomplish configuration change control requests to support plant operations/maintenance on short-term and urgent process/equipment modifications.



  • Focus on engineer group professional development and cross training to build organizational depth and ability to flex and use engineering resources.



  • Maintain performance indices.



  • You will have regular interfaces with multiple plant organization such as Maintenance, EH&S, Operations and other engineering organizations.




Qualifications:


  • 8+ years of experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required and professional licensure desired



  • Have a scope of experience in multiple engineering disciplines with a depth level in either mechanical or electrical engineering.



  • Manage engineers and develop a team
