JOB TITLE: Reliability Engineer REQUISITION: TRA00XS DEPARTMENT: Substation Maintenance - Topeka Operations Center, F&M Service Center, Wichita Service Center LOCATION: Topeka, KS Kansas City, MO Wichita, KS PAY RANGE: Engineer I: $66,300 - $82,900 - $99,500 Engineer II: $81,000 - $101,200 - $121,400 Staff Engineer: $90,500 - $113,100 - $135,700 Sr. Engineer: $91,600 - $122,100 - $152,600 Lead Engineer: $107,900 - $143,800 - $179,800 Scheduled Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Other hours as required) Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Reliability Engineer implements and facilitates reliability principals / processes, provides direction and technical expertise required to achieve and sustain optimum reliability, maintainability, useful life of assets at the lowest life cycle cost. The Reliability Engineer develops studies, plans, criteria, evaluations, performance assessments, cost estimates and budgets. Provides consultation and recommendations to the Company and to other business units. *
Provide technical consultation services in the areas of reliability, work and materials management, and business administration. *
Assist in financial justification of equipment reliability upgrades and improvements using return on investment tools such as Life Cycle Costing (LCC) and risk analysis. *
Facilitate and/or lead the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods. *
Assist with field equipment monitor implementation and integration of associated data into equipment health formulas and work management system. *
Facilitate equipment criticality strategy and ranking sessions for new assets and periodically review existing rankings as the business model changes. *
Stay abreast of new technology and recommend implementation based on criticality, cost, and associated risk *
Monitor and evaluate asset bad actor lists. *
Develops and maintains critical spares strategy. *
Perform studies on equipment and process failures and present details of the analysis, in report format, to management. *
Develop work process and procedures for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Clean and maintain CMMS data. *
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using PowerBI and make data-driven business decisions. *
Application of engineering principles to a broad range of requirements *
Collects and compiles financial data for budget and actual costs of projects *
Perform other work as assigned.
