Position Highlights:
- Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- Hourly Pay Range: $28.05 - $45.69. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
- Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $30.46 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks
- Location: Swedish Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm, e/o weekend and rotating holidays
What you will do:
- Perform a variety of routine and special Laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager/Director, including rotating through at least three (3) areas of the Clinical Lab/Section
- Provide training for new hires
- Provide support with employee competencies
- Provide support with MLS student clinical rotation training
- Provide support with SOPs (review, implementation, in-service)
- When there are no new hires, students, or competencies to be done, this position will assist with bench work
What you will need:
Education: Bachelor or associate's degree and the requisite courses to meet CLIA requirements for moderate to high complexity testing. - License: n/a
Certification: MT, MLS or MLT (ASCP) certification or equivalent and ongoing active certification is strongly preferred. - Skills: Able to solve technical and interdepartmental problems related to the various lab areas. Capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of results and taking corrective action or notifying appropriate supervisory personnel. Good communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others
