Job Type TemporaryDepartment TransportationAbout the Position The Construction Management Intern is a summer internship opportunity to work for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) and its various Divisions, including Roadway Maintenance, Engineering, Construction and Materials, Transportation Systems Management & Operations, and Strategic Communications and Outreach. The intern will rotate through the various subject matters and report to a variety of locations throughout Maricopa County and on the MCDOT Durango campus. At the conclusion, the intern will have gained experience and understanding of the opportunities available in a jurisdictional department of transportation. About Us We value your time. We Require This position requires the candidate to be currently enrolled in a sophomore or upper-level undergraduate or graduate program in Construction or a related field. Prior classroom training in Construction Safety is also required. We Also Value Possession of an OSHA 30 Card is preferred. Job Contributions
Working Conditions Work occurs in either a field or office environment. While performing the duties & responsibilities of this position, the employee may be exposed to loud noises, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations. This position is subject to atmospheric conditions, for example, fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
