About the role: Are you a dedicated full stack web developer seeking the right opportunity to make a meaningful impact? Join the Scientific Computing Software Department at the non-profit, privately funded Janelia Research Campus and work hand-in-hand with world-class scientists to build groundbreaking software using pioneering web and cloud technologies that help solve exciting biological questions focused on neuroscience and developmental biology. As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will take the lead in creating innovative web applications and services from scratch and support and further develop our cutting-edge scientific web applications like NeuronBridge, HortaCloud, or neuPrint. Compensation Range Software Engineer III: 111,600.00 (minimum) - 139,532.64 (midpoint) - 181,400.00 (maximum) Software Engineer IV: 141,781.95 (minimum) - 177,227.44 (midpoint) - 230,395.67 (maximum) Software Engineer V: 158,170.18 (minimum) - 197,712.72 (midpoint) - 257,026.54 (maximum Pay Type: Annual HHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and midpoint.
