DUTIES: The Project Manager provides overall leadership direction to construction projects, including the management of financial health, project quality, timeliness, and safety, as well as the mentoring of the project team. This position develops and enhances customer relationships by providing excellent service.

Specific duties include: (1) developing and maintaining project financial projections and equipment projections; (2) determining and allocating the project estimate into the financial system; (3) identifying cost codes, approving invoices, and making necessary budget management decisions; (4) providing financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment; (5) creating monthly owner billings; (6) managing subcontracts and suppliers for construction projects, including overseeing budget for and making selections of trade partners and suppliers and handling billings, contract management, and contract buyouts; (7) managing Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), including providing job assignments and managing career development, approving time cards for on-site team members, and providing ongoing feedback of work performance; (8) functioning as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative, including assisting with the review of the owner agreement and resolving site concerns for the owner or representative; (9) executing change orders, including determining when to submit to the owner or on-site representatives and obtaining the customer/architect's approval; (10) developing preconstruction schedules; (11) managing billings and cost procedures during preconstruction and subcontracting; (12) developing and distributing requests for information (RFIs) and change orders; (13) defining and implementing procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-build construction documents; (14) establishing handling procedures for electronic construction project documents; (15) applying the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), and the ASTM (f/k/a the American Society for Testing and Materials) and structural design concepts to construction projects; and (16) utilizing the following tools and technologies: ProCore, Sage, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto, Bluebeam, AUTOCAD, gINT, Surveying, and Microsoft Office. This position supervises subordinates, which may vary in number from 2 to 6. May work in various unanticipated locations in the United States. Position requires domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years related experience in the construction industry. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in the construction industry. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) managing billings and cost procedures during preconstruction and subcontracting; (2) developing and distributing requests for information and change orders; (3) defining and implementing procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-build construction documents; (4) establishing handling procedures for electronic construction project documents; and (5) utilizing the following tools and technologies: ProCore, Sage, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto, Bluebeam, AUTOCAD, gINT, Surveying, and Microsoft Office. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master's program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. May work in various unanticipated locations in the United States. Position requires domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time. Salary: $136,032 to $166,100/year. Full-time, position based in Minneapolis, MN.
