***Candidates can sit remotely in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas and Washington.*** **This role can be a level two or a level three candidate and compensation will depend on the level of the candidate** Our client is looking to bring on an HIM analyst who is certified in identity. They will look at other focuses within HIM as well but would prefer Identity. This person needs to be experienced with Chart corrections, and experience interfacing with external or internal databases. They would ideally have E-Fax experience and experience with OnBase. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Serve as primary subject matter expert for one or more Epic applications and a secondary subject matter expert for one or more Epic applications. 2.Support other clinical information software as services. 3.Execute, assess, troubleshoot, and create solutions supporting software platforms. 4.Inform assessment and development of long-term goals related to clinical technology in conjunction with external vendors. 5.Serve as a leader in the development, implementation and transition to new software modules and upgrades as needed as well as perform testing on new builds and applications during implementation and maintenance phases. 6.Perform maintenance, research and testing of systems including generating error reports, maintaining tables, and documenting all system changes and statuses in a complete and thorough manner in order to preserve data integrity. 7.Develop and validate user and system requirements, write technical and clinical workflow documents, test plans and test results. 8.Responsible for projects which require advanced troubleshooting, research, and user access with the client-contracted Enterprise administrative organization. 9.Develop and maintain quality control mechanisms for the Applications helpdesk tickets to ensure issues are resourced and addressed in accordance with established service level agreements. 10.Identify and document application defects and manage the process of escalating such defects to the appropriate external resources i.e. Epic hosting product vendor, direct Epic vendor. 11.Assist internal teams on an ongoing basis with escalations that require knowledge or expertise that are within your domain. 12.Provide technical support, diagnosis of application errors and troubleshooting for applications tickets and issues. While consulting with end-users in addressing problems and assists in formulating solutions. 13.Develop an awareness of programming, technical or design alternatives; implement programmatic and workflow workarounds. 14.Assist with building, maintaining, and generating reports within the clinical software. 15.Maintain knowledge of Epic including Orion, Nova release notes, User Forum, Galaxy and other documentation published through the Epic User Web. 16.Provide onsite and remote support for staff to train and promote the proper use of the electronic systems and best practices in the live environment. 17.Perform On Call responsibilities, during scheduled on call shift, in order to investigate and fix issues that may arise. Manage assigned applications projects to ensure timelines are met. 18.Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and leading meetings and work with sites/departments to assist with process improvement, integration and efficiency related to software functionality. 19.Create clinical information system learning content independently or in collaboration with instructional designers. 20.Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment. 21.Demonstrate respectful, professional and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment. 22.Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of the client and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility and respect into appropriate programs and services. 23.Other duties as assigned by supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITY This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college, technical school, or clinical certification. Seven (7) years related healthcare experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) years IT healthcare experience and two (2) years electronic health record support experience required. Epic preferred. Communication Skills Ability to read and interpret technical and other complex documents. Ability to write routine correspondence such as letters and memos. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal and/or external clients. Ability to communicate effectively by phone and in-person. Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player, skilled in interpersonal relationships and conflict resolution. Ability to maintain respectful communication when situations are stressful. Reasoning and/or Critical Thinking Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction. Ability to think constructively and consider alternatives with short- to long-term solutions. Ability to develop and implement action plans. Computer Skills Expert ability to operate computers and related software programs including Microsoft Office and electronic health record system. NextGen preferred. Licenses or Certificates Maintain active certification in an Epic application. Physical Requirements and Working Environment This position requires the manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment. This person must speak and write clearly using the English language to accurately convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels both in person and over the telephone. Vision correctable to 20/40 is required to review written materials. Generally good working conditions with little or no exposure to communicable diseases, extremes in noises and temperature. Little or no safety or health hazards. Minimal lifting or climbing; work performed in an office or clinic setting.
