Description This is a 3rd Shift position SAT-WED 10pm-6:30am (THUR/FRI off) The Computer Operator II position will report directly to the Operations Team Lead and provide direct support to the Command Center team. Candidate will be able to provide support to monitor and perform nightly production batch processing in both the Open Systems and mainframe using Control-M products. Candidate will also be tasked to monitor several compute areas for the data center team. They must be able to perform data center facility walk-throughs multiple times per shift. The operator must also be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Candidate will be required to possess good verbal and written communication skills, be able to perform in pressure situations, and have considerable troubleshooting skills. Detailed Responsibilities: -Monitors and performs nightly production batch processing using Control-M for Open Systems -Monitors and performs nightly production batch processing using Control-M for mainframe services -Monitors the server and network performance using Solar Winds Orion -Monitors the data center facilities alerts using SiteScan -Monitors the data center security using Genetec Security Center CCTV -Monitors the OnBase polling workstations -Performs campus walk-through multiple times per shift -Escorts data center visitors as per required basis -Proficient in Microsoft Office products, ie. Word, Excel, Visio -ITIL comprehension for Change Request process, Incident Management creation and tracking Additional information: -Execute batch processing ; monitor batch processing; AIX open systems and mainframe knowledge -Some adhoc work within excel and VISIO -Good written and verbal communication and be able to self motivate (and keep themselves awake) -Use monitoring tools using Orion for network/ systems and Site scan/site-link to monitor facilities -3rd shift position (10PM- 6:30 AM) Tuesday- Saturday and 100% onsite -Perform recurring facilities walk-around checks -Have to be able to go up and down stairs Typical Education: High school education and 2+ years of related experience; or technical training Skills Mainframe, Control-M, Solarwinds Top Skills Details Mainframe,Control-M,Solarwinds Additional Skills & Qualifications Top 3 skills: 1.
