We're seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager /Operational Assistant Supervisor to join our 3rd shift operations team. What You'll Do:



  • Lead and Supervise:

    • Oversee a dedicated team that primarily consists of adults with disabilities, ensuring high-quality service delivery in a military grocery store environment.



  • Be Hands-On:

    • This is not a desk job! You'll be actively involved in all aspects of operations, from lifting and moving products to setting up displays and handling equipment.



  • Team Training & Support:

    • Lead staff training, scheduling, and ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency throughout the store.



  • Operational Efficiency:

    • Maintain store cleanliness, manage inventory, and ensure shelves are stocked and organized.



  • You'll handle everything from floor care to inventory management to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Problem-Solving:

    • Tackle challenges head-on while maintaining high-quality standards.

    • You'll ensure timely completion of tasks and uphold store safety protocols.



  • Safety First:

    • Uphold safety standards and ensure that all team members are trained in safe workplace practices, creating a secure environment for everyone.



  • Compliance & Regulations:

    • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health codes, and military guidelines while maintaining confidentiality and data security




Qualifications:



  • Minimum of (1) year' supervisory or Team Lead experience.

  • Minimum of (2) year's experience working in a grocery store or warehouse as a Stocker, Store Associate or similar role.

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Ability to guide and motivate a team, with a strong focus on teamwork and achieving shared goals.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and management.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in handling emergency situations and addressing operational challenges.

  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain operational efficiency.


Physical Demands:



  • Lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, moving, and reaching for products, equipment, and supplies.

  • Repetitive movements to engage in tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and setting up displays.

  • Required to use hands for handling, sorting, and arranging various store items, as well as working with equipment and tools.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and engage in physical tasks for extended periods throughout the shift.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be made.


Environmental Demands:



  • Work is performed primarily in a military base environment.

  • Work in a fast-paced grocery store environment, often requiring adaptation to changing conditions.

  • Exposure to cooler temperatures in certain areas of the store, such as refrigerators and stockrooms, as well as potential warmer environments in other sections.

  • Work in warehouse areas that may have tight spaces, aisles, or elevated shelving systems.

  • Depending on operational needs, there may be exposure to cleaning chemicals used to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the store.
