Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a tuition-free private home and school for 2,200 pre-K through 12th grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since its' founding, the lives of almost 12,000 children have had lives transformed through high-quality career-focused education and a positive, nurturing home life. And the school is growing to serve more students.

MHS is seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) for the Vice-President of Human Resources (VP of HR). This role provides administrative support to the VP, assists with special projects, and handles a variety of HR programs and processes. The role is essential to the success of the HR team. This is an on-site position in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include:



  • Manages the VP of HR's schedule.
  • Prepares the VP for meetings and handles post-meeting follow up.
  • Assists Directors with special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Attends key meetings as a note-taker and prepares meeting minutes.
  • Handles calls and emails on behalf of the VP of HR.
  • Prepares reports and presentations. Responsible for records retention.
  • Handles financial administrative tasks.
  • Handles special projects, programs, and processes.
  • Functions as the overall office manager and coordinates all HR activities,
  • Assists other HR staff and Executive Assistants as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business, legal or admin. Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated success working in an executive office.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated discernment in working with executive level matters, requiring a high degree of diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and self-manage in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a high degree of organization and efficiency.
  • Skilled at working in teams.
  • Flexible to work occasional evenings.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
  • Must be eager to actively engage with MHS students.
