Broad Description of Duties:

The Film Assistant is crucial in providing administrative support to the Film Department at Marcus Theatres.

Location: Corporate Office

This position reports to the EVP - Content Strategy, Sales, R&D, Guest Services

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

* Set up circuit-wide ticket sales, including title creation, seat layout, and film formatting on the website and app.

* Manage studio group sales and rental requests, forwarding as needed.

* Support alternate content, including compliance and performance tracking.

* Screen films, assess their potential, and research independent films to expand the content portfolio.

* Download films and trailers for offsite screening rooms and book Milwaukee trade screenings.

* Work with accounting to ensure content credit and compile various reports.

* Collaborate with Marketing on film promotions

* Act as backup for film buyers when needed.

* Prepare and distribute financial evaluations, booking memos, and update reports.

* Perform compliance checks, monitor competitors, and create documents as needed.

Job Requirements:

* Travel to Marcus Theatre locations and company functions and meetings is required.

* Ability to provide exceptional client service and exhibit a sense of urgency to complete duties on time;

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with frequent interruptions

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand and/or walk occasionally. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Education Required:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or commensurate work experience preferred
