About the role

The Adecco Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contracts Attorney to join our legal team. The primary responsibility of this role is to draft, revise, and negotiate contracts for all of the Adecco Group service offerings (which primarily focus on human resource offerings, staffing, and consulting) in the U.S. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to explain complex contract terms to business stakeholders. This role requires establishing positive working relationships and negotiating with clients to close deals effectively.

What you'll be doing
  • Drafting and Revising Contracts:
    • Prepare, review, and revise a variety of contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and client agreements.
    • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations and align with the company's policies and objectives.
  • Negotiating Contracts:
    • Engage in contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and other third parties to achieve favorable terms for the Adecco Group.
    • Focus on closing deals efficiently while addressing and mitigating potential risks.
  • Explaining Contract Terms:
    • Clearly and concisely explain contract terms and conditions to business stakeholders, ensuring they understand the implications and obligations.
    • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on contract-related matters.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure contract terms meet the needs of the business and support overall company goals.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Tool Use:
    • Utilize CLM tools to manage the contract lifecycle, from initial drafting to execution and renewal.
    • Maintain accurate records of all contracts and related documentation.
About you
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state.
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in negotiating and drafting contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Experience with CLM tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
