US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Design, develop, and/or re-engineer highly complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs, and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms including COTS products
  • Support, maintain, and document software functionality, integrating COTS solutions for a seamless user experience
  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revises programs as needed
  • Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
  • Apply COTS subject matter expertise for problem-solving and to lead the design and implementation efforts for the project
  • Consult with the end-user as needed to prototype, refine, test, and debug legacy applications to meet needs
  • Support migration efforts to leverage new technologies as COTS products go end of life
  • Attend meetings, provide updates and presentations on the status of development and implementation efforts
  • Keep up-to-date with best practices and skills
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



  • At least eight (8) years of overall experience, with a minimum of five (5) years experience working specifically in COTS development with Labware or Accela
  • At least five (5) years experience working on SDLC projects
  • Working knowledge of SW development process documentation
  • Understand Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skill set; ability to apply technical solutions to broad, complex problems
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively lead working groups; and facilitate communication and collaboration with business stakeholders and customers


PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



  • Agile (e.g. CSM. SAFe, etc.) certifications
  • Experience in the government contracting arena


EDUCATION:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience may be substituted in absence of a degree.

Internal title/grade: Software Engineer, E3
Salary Range: $105,000 - $132,000

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.

Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
