Overview

This is a remote role that will only be hired in the following location: California

This position performs field examinations of clients and prospective clients to provide the Bank's CIT Group Commercial Services Inc. with a first level of risk management. Determines collateral adequacy, identifies operational issues and makes recommendations to improve the Bank's collateral position. Works closely with Credit Quality Assurance and other Credit areas.


Responsibilities

Field Exams - Conducts on-site and/or remote pre-loan field exams and recurring field exams, assesses quality of collateral monitoring and reporting, and performs operational and troubled loan examinations. Conducts on-site and/or remote investigations of internal controls.
Business Support - Evaluates various assets as collateral for loans. Determines the quality and validity of accounts receivable, inventories and other general ledger accounts. Evaluates accounting systems and controls. Formulates meaningful recommendations to improve credit and collateral quality to help the Bank make sound lending decisions.
Reporting - Communicates the results of the field exam in the field exam form to a vast array of readers so readers understand the risks in these loans. Assists in identifying and providing various reporting requirements.
Risk Management - Assesses and manages all the risks associated with the business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Credit Administration

- OR -

High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Credit Administration

Additional Requirements:
Advanced written and verbal communication

Advanced attention to detail

Knowledge of accounting; including but not limited to accounts receivable and accounts payable, and cash receipts and disbursements

Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Office experience
Bachelors in Business Administration, Accounting, and/or Finance
Field Examiner experience preferably in Factoring or Asset-Based Lending

Financial industry experience

If hired, the base pay for this position is generally between $112,500/year and $125,500/year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
