PURPOSE

This position is responsible for basic overall maintenance for the factory equipment located in Beaverton, OR which includes production equipment. This position will provide basic predictive and preventative maintenance support to ensure maximum factory uptime. This will include equipment maintenance/support, building system maintenance/support and working with employees to ensure a safe, functional working environment. Advanced issues would be escalated to supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • Provide predictive and preventative maintenance support to ensure maximum facility uptime; perform daily, weekly and monthly walk-throughs checking gages and meters, operational correctness of equipment and systems.
  • Monitor, document and support all maintenance in relationship with the water treatment plant and DI water systems.
  • Support the staff that monitor and manage the performance of the cleanrooms as outlined by the specifications set by the Manufacturing Department.
  • Be trained to utilize the computerized building management system to monitor status of facility equipment and systems, correct any malfunction, and make needed changes.
  • Read and interpret operation and maintenance manuals and drawings
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
  • Perform basic HVAC and plumbing maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Be a member of the emergency response team.
  • Perform all work to industry standards complying with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations, chemical handling and following safe work habits
  • Maintains confidentiality of company, client and vendor information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Escalate advanced issues to supervisor.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in microelectronics, manufacturing or equivalent environments
  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience operating hand and/or power tools
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience following detailed work instructions
  • A working knowledge of chemical handling
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on HVAC and plumbing equipment
  • Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
  • Basic trouble shooting knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Prior clean room experience required.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


  • Relevant certifications are a plus


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to climb and work from ladders, man lifts, and roofs.
  • The employee must have strong manual dexterity as he/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance as you may be required to work at elevated heights (i.e. on ladders, stools, or other assistive devices).
  • The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or maneuver in areas of confined width and height space working in or around cramped mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards workspace
  • Ability to work in constrictive attire, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment as required



Shift


  • Back Half nights - Thursday, Friday, Saturday & every other Wednesday - 6 pm to 6.15 am. (15% Shift Differential)

WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Facilities include a: Cleanroom fabrication facility, general office workspaces and manufacturing production areas
  • Exposure to chemicals
  • 24 hours operation, requiring off shift support as necessary


The pay range for this role in Beaverton,OR is between $18.80 and $24.67. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
