POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting and proper internal control over all financial reporting areas. In addition, this position is responsible for developing, maintaining and ensuring reliable information concerning income, expense, assets, liabilities, and capital as a basis for management planning and decision making and for the fulfillment of financial requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* MBA/CPA license preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in the financial services industry or public accounting with knowledge of accounting, SEC reporting, budgeting, and banking required.
* Strong foundation in analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to initiate and coordinate projects involving multiple functional areas of the bank.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure accurate reporting for all month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting processes, including:
* the analyses and preparation of general ledger journal entries for RPG high-risk calculations, including rebates and any loan loss reserves;
* the analyses and preparation for all quarterly and year-to-date Earnings Per Share calculations.
* the preparation and review of the monthly internal financial statements;
* the preparation of the monthly financial reporting to the Board of Directors ("Board"), including the writing of the monthly comments to the Board;
* the preparation all financial presentations to the Board;
* the preparation of all quarterly and yearly SEC financial reporting, including the writing of the Management Discussion and Analysis ("MD&A"); and
* the preparation and writing of all financial press releases, including all 8-Ks.
* Ensure accurate Regulatory reporting (Call reports, Y-9's, etc.) to the FDIC and the Federal Reserve.
* Oversee external audits, examinations and SEC filings, including communications with internal and external auditors for both financial audits and Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley.
* Ensure compliance with all existing accounting and regulatory standards, including all financial estimates.
* Lead the Company's adoption of new or revised technical accounting standards and reporting requirements.
* Ensure proper documentation exists for all financial reporting.
* Oversee the Accounting portion of any data processing conversions.
* Oversee the coordination of accounting systems for any acquisitions or new products and services.
* Develop and improve all financial reporting areas ensuring proper succession planning throughout the Accounting department.
* Oversee, execute and ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting for all Mergers & Acquisitions.
* Oversee the development of accounting staff personnel using continuing education opportunities and annual performance and salary evaluations as to enhance their job efficiency and to improve the accountability.
* Oversee financial projects from concept through implementation while addressing all legal, compliance, and operational issues.
* Communicate with senior management and other bank associates with supporting analysis and recommendations.
* Work in coordinated effort with Management on various projects as needed, including appropriate review and approval of cash disbursements, general ledger maintenance changes.
* Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.

* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
