JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist will provide administrative support in all human resource functions including systems administration, benefits, leave management, employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, training and development and overall compliance. This position plays a critical role in providing day to day professional human resources support and counsel to employees and leaders in accordance with organization policies, and with federal, state and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources department including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development; leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; employee handbook; and responding to general HR queries from employees, managers and company leadership.
  • Provide guidance and ensure consistent implementation of HR programs, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring decision.
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, paperwork completion, and introduction to company policies and procedures.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of employee training and development programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data, and timekeeping records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
