Automation Tester I

Nakpuna Consulting is looking for a Automation Tester I who works as a team member with demonstrated experience in evaluating software for automation needs, implementing automation test frameworks, and writing automation test scripts. Must be self-motivated with strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with development teams.

Assist with designing and developing a comprehensive automation test suite based on the business processes and needs of the client

• Maintain automation test scripts in response to updates in software requirements

• Stay current with automation tools and industry best practices

• Assist with coordinating execution of test scripts and documentation of test results in test logs or defect tracking systems

• Evaluate manual test cases for automation feasibility

• Assist with the execution and writing of manual test cases as needed in support of the software

• Track and communicate project testing status to key stakeholders throughout the development process

• With the assistance of the team lead, ensure delivery of code and systems meet performance, operational readiness and other non-functional requirements

• Execute test cases/activities, analyze, report, track defects and report test execution metrics.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Have excellent communication skills, embrace learning, and be a consummate problem solver.

• Demonstrated experience in Python programming in the context of test automation.

• Experience with Selenium for web automation, including the ability to design and maintain robust test frameworks

• Experience with Pytest as a testing framework, including writing and maintaining test scripts

• Basic understanding of modular programming principles and their application in test automation.

• Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting test scripts and automated test scripts.

• Experience with SQL and XML.

• Knowledge and understanding of the Agile development process.

• Prior experience with PeopleSoft preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or relevant work experience

• 2+ years of relevant business experience working in a software development, government, or Department of Defense environments

• 1+ years of automation test experience

Clearance: A background investigation at the T3 level is required, as this is not currently a classified position. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Work Location: Work location will be in the Honolulu, HI office 2 days on-site with a hybrid option.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
