We are collaborating with our client, a major oil & gas company, to locate an experienced Instructional Designer to lead the redesign of its Supply Chain Essentials training course. This project is a response to declining attendance and aims to modernize and streamline the learner experience while maintaining key elements that are known to drive engagement, such as interactive games. The selected consultant will evaluate the current 8-day blended learning experience (originally adapted from a 1-day in-person course), provide strategic recommendations, and drive the design and development of an updated version. The ideal candidate will have strong blended learning design expertise, excellent communication skills for SME collaboration, and the ability to take full ownership of timelines and deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate the current Supply Chain Essentials course structure and learner experience Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather insights and content Recommend and implement strategies to streamline course design and improve engagement Preserve key course elements such as the "beer game" simulation while modernizing content delivery Design a blended learning experience using best practices in instructional design Develop a detailed project plan and manage timelines for deliverables Create course materials and assets as needed Top Skills & Qualifications: Proven expertise in blended learning design, including ILT, vILT, and self-paced formats Strong consultative skills with the ability to advise on learning strategy and best practices Skilled at content extraction from SMEs, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to lead the project independently, manage timelines, and ensure objectives are met Experience in converting complex content into engaging learning experiences Preferred Attributes: Self-directed and proactive with a collaborative mindset Clear communicator who can explain instructional design decisions and guide Top of Form Start Date: ASAP Duration: TBD by consultant Hours: Flexible; consultant to determine weekly hours based on project needs and deadlines Location: Virtual (Consultant ideally based in Eastern Time to align with Singapore business hours as needed) Travel Requirements: None Tools Required: Articulate (Storyline/Rise), PowerPoint, PDF tools; consultant must provide their own licenses and laptop The pay range is $55 to $60 per hour and is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications, and specific work location.
