Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to support a diverse range of product lines. This role is critical in bridging the gap between engineering design and full-scale production, ensuring new product introductions are seamless and test processes are efficient, accurate, and continuously improved. You'll be deeply involved in testing, calibration, root-cause analysis, and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance product quality and manufacturing reliability. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in RF, digital, and mixed-signal systems, along with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and process development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Support manufacturing test processes for a broad range of products.
- Facilitate smooth transitions of new products from engineering to production.
- Coordinate with Product Engineering teams to understand and prepare for future test requirements.
- Develop and oversee testing activities for products and integrated systems.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to provide actionable feedback.
- Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of products.
- Analyze test data and compile formal reports on test findings.
- Identify and determine root causes of test failures to drive resolution.
- Implement process improvements and test enhancements as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document and maintain test procedures and protocols as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a test or manufacturing engineering environment.
- Solid understanding of RF, digital, and hardware system architectures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
- Hands-on experience with mixed-signal system design and testing.
- Familiarity with PCIe, I2C, SPI technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in RF test systems.
- Effective communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts clearly.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from parametric test data.
- Knowledge of automated test systems including communication hardware, software, and calibration methods.
- Understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and error sources.
- Experience with high-frequency and high-power RF measurements is highly preferred.
- Expertise in advanced test hardware integration is a plus.
- Proficient in using test equipment and techniques for product verification and validation is preferred.
