Tufts Medicine is comprised of the following clinical entities: * Tufts Medicine Professional Group (TMPG) * Tufts Medicine Integrated Network (TMIN) * Tufts Medical Center * Lowell General Hospital * MelroseWakefield Hospital, Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford * Tufts Care at Home Job Overview Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the VP of HR Total Rewards & Technology is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of human resource programs and policies, including Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Employee Service Center, Leave Administration and HR Operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, data management, and process optimization. The position plays a key leadership role in strategic planning, resource allocation, and organizational growth, aligning HR strategies with the company's long-term vision. As an executive leader, this role directs multiple teams and drives the development of strategic plans to optimize HR solutions and systems. The position ensures alignment with organizational objectives, overseeing the performance of direct and indirect reports while continuously improving HR operations. Key responsibilities also include enhancing employee experience through the Employee Service Center and utilizing HRIS to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. Job Description Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. 2. Fifteen (15) years of Human Resources leading teams and demonstrating progressive knowledge and experience in Total Rewards and HRIS. 3. Experience with mergers and acquisitions; system integration. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Master's degree in Human Resources or related field. 2. Senior Professional in Human Resource Certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP). 3. Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). Partners strategically with system executive leadership to ensure all Total Reward programs, company policies, and HR operations align with organizational objectives, are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. 2. Serves as a key leader in organizational growth initiatives by developing scalable HR programs and infrastructure. 3. Champions the use of HR systems and tools to enhance workforce planning, talent management, and overall HR service delivery. 4. Leads a professional Total Rewards and HR operations team that champions market competitiveness, innovation, and continuous improvement in processes and services. 5. Responsible for aligning the HRIS strategy with the organization's overall business objectives. This includes ensuring that HR technology solutions support HR processes such as recruitment, performance management, payroll, and employee development. 6. Drives continuous improvements and innovations to keep the HRIS systems efficient and scalable, ensuring operational effectiveness across the system. 7. Provides executive oversight and performance management for direct and indirect reports across multiple HR teams focusing on efficient, employee-centric service delivery. 8. Provides direction, resources, and support to ensure the successful implementation, maintenance, and optimization of HR systems. 9. Fosters a collaborative environment, promote skill development, and ensure the team is equipped to handle both day-to-day operations and strategic projects. 10. Develops and executes a comprehensive strategy for Total Rewards, leveraging compensation and benefits analysis, industry best practices, and HRIS insights to attract and retain top talent while aligning with broader system and talent strategies. 11. Ensures regulatory compliance of rewards programs, including retirement, health, welfare, wellness, leave of absences, base pay, incentives, and other related areas, while coordinating with HRIS to maintain accurate and compliant data reporting. 12. Ensures alignment of strategic goals for HRIS to develop and implement technology solutions that enable seamless reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making for Total Rewards programs. 13. Provides oversight of benefits vendor relationships, contract management, and bid negotiations, ensuring optimal cost management, service delivery, and alignment with organizational needs. Physical Requirements: 1. Professional office environment with typical office requirements such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. 2. This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, 3. ascending / descending stairs and operating office equipment. 4. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate, and exchange information. 5. Able to see and read computer displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. 6. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Skills & Abilities: 1. Ability to set vision and direction for Total Rewards, HR technology, and operations in alignment with organizational goals. 2. Deep knowledge of compensation, benefits, and recognition program design, governance, and compliance. Understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices related to compensation, benefits, data privacy, and HR systems. 3. Expertise in HRIS systems (i.e. Workday) with the ability to leverage technology for data-driven decision-making and process optimization. 4. Proven ability to streamline HR processes, drive service delivery improvements, and implement scalable solutions across diverse teams. 5. Strong capability to lead transformation initiatives and navigate complex organizational change. 6. Proven analytical skills in using data, metrics, and analytics to drive insights, assess program effectiveness, and inform strategy. 7. Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams; experienced in managing both direct and indirect reports. 8. Strong business and financial acumen with excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills across all levels, possessing an ability to persuade and influence. 9. Proactive, approachable individual able to build relationships and influence at all levels and work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and executive leadership. 10. Strong analytical skills (business case development) and strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills. 11. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional partners. 12. Commitment to enhancing employee experience through high-quality service delivery. 13. Ability to improve systems and processes, building credibility with line clients, focusing on continuous improvement, measurement, and best practice assessment. 14. Job Profile Summary This role focuses on supporting the design, development, and implementation of human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, mobility, talent acquisition, diversity, talent management & organization development and employee/labor relations. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Human Resources Leadership duties: Controls, directs, and participates in the activities of the organization through a hierarchy of managers and supervisors. Responsibilities also include long-term strategic planning, determining the policies of the organization, and allocating its resources and making decisions regarding organization growth and diversification to accomplish entity's vision. An executive role that provides strategic vision and/or tactical/strategic direction across multiple teams with the majority of time spent on overseeing area of responsibility and directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and/or indirect reports. An entity sub-function head role accountable to establish and implement strategies that have short to mid-term (1-3 years) impact on business results in alignment with function objectives. Leads multiple teams of directors/senior managers and managers and develops short to mid-term (1-3 years) plans for optimizing the function or sub-function and the talent required to execute strategies in job area.
