Sr Program Manager
Vivint is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr Program Manager to drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance our technology infrastructure and operational excellence. In this role, you will collaborate with Architecture, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Test Operations teams to deliver scalable solutions that support our mission of creating a smarter, safer home experience for our customers. This role will be instrumental in breaking down silos, improving communication, and fostering collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, technical acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate technical programs that span multiple teams, including architecture, platform, test operations, and SRE teams. Hands-on TPM with experience in execution!
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, leadership, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop and manage a strategic roadmap for scaling DevOps and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate change management and track progress using defined metrics.
• Drive risk management, prioritization, and planning across multiple teams.
• Serve as a key point of contact for Architecture, SRE, TestOps, and other technical teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
• Identify and remove roadblocks, ensuring teams can execute efficiently.
• Organize and lead regular status updates, presentations, and reporting on key initiatives.
• Establish best practices and processes to improve team velocity and effectiveness.
• Support engineers by facilitating communication, tracking team capacity, and ensuring realistic workload distribution.
• Utilize Jira to manage planning, tracking, and prioritization efforts.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering management, or related fields.
• Understanding of software development, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE principles.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication, risk and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with infrastructure, security, or platform engineering teams.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with observability tools, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes), and security-focused DevOps practices.

• Proficiency with system and program management tools such as Confluence, Jira, Smartsheet, Jellyfish, or similar platforms.

• Background in software engineering or a technical discipline is a plus.
