Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for credit monitoring for a designated portfolio, including the frequent monitoring and tracking of financial reporting packages to minimize the number of past due financials in the loan portfolio.
- Ensure financial ticklers and covenants are updated timely and properly tracked in the underwriting/portfolio management system.
- Generate, review distribute and monitoring of various portfolio level management reports, for underwriters and bankers; assist in the collection of financial packages when applicable.
- Set-up and process new loan relationships in the Bank's credit management system for required ongoing monitoring and data collection. Proactively manage an active portfolio of loans, and complete requisite portfolio management responsibilities, which includes client and COI interaction.
- Coordinate activities required to complete a transaction-from inception through to funding-with the deal team (underwriter, banker, closer, operations).
- Prepare modification memos as required (i.e. short-term maturity date extensions, review due date extensions and financial reporting extensions).
- Assist underwriters in maintaining electronic credit files.
- Manage data integrity for call codes, NAICS codes, GAR amount and date, risk rating and specific loan type classification (i.e. leveraged, TDM), processing of Watchlist forms
- Provide support for managing internal audit, external audit, and regulatory examination process.
- Verify tax payment status for commercial borrowers as necessary
- Willingly accepts and performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum two to four years' experience in a bank or other financial institution; loan department experience preferred.
- Knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritize daily workflow and various projects and complete them on time.
- Strong inter-personal skills to work effectively and professionally with a wide range of external and internal clients.
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to work under deadline pressure while remaining detail oriented.
- Knowledge of lending services and related areas
- Working knowledge of PC; specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Silverlake
