We are seeking a mission-driven Software Engineer to develop robust backend solutions supporting scalable systems. If you're experienced with Java or Python, modern frameworks, and big data technologies like Kafka or Elastic Stack, this is a perfect fit.

You like to do this:




  • Design and develop software using Java, Spring, or Python



  • Tune and optimize databases to ensure performance



  • Customize Kafka data flows and perform log analysis



  • Build integrations using Elastic Stack or OpenSearch APIs



  • Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot, scale, and refine backend systems




You are required to have this:




  • 7 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field



  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, or Python



  • Experience with database optimization and Kafka customization



  • Familiarity with Elastic Stack, OpenSearch, and log ingestion pipelines



  • an active TS/SCI with Polygraph





Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000

The BlueHalo pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
