Logistics Supervisor

Our Danfoss Searcy, AR facility is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join its team. The Logistics Supervisor will coordinate the day-to-day operations of all aspects of logistics (i.e. distribution, inventory control, order fulfilment, etc.) to ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner. This position will be responsible for supervising approximately 20 employees to deliver excellence to our customers and meet assigned deadlines.

The Logistics Supervisor reports to the Supply Chain Manager and will work daily out of the Searcy, AR facility. Relocation for this position cannot be provided. Work authorization is not available for this position.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Proactively implements, promotes, and maintains a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and driving accountability.
• Aligns workforce to the company vision through workplace practices and beliefs that build trust, mutual respect, and teamwork between employees at all levels of the organization while developing, motivating, and coaching direct reports.
• Responsible for on-time delivery performance and continuously focusing on reducing manufacturing lead-time for components and products.
• Acts as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring continuous improvement programs by applying appropriate Danfoss Business System (DBS) processes.
• Arrange warehousing and transportation of product to customer.
• Initiate and participate in cross-functional projects to accomplish goals.
• Investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping.
• Own all aspects of plant logistics including receiving, warehousing, material movement, and packaging strategy.
• Conduct inventory audits to monitor production and plant inventory levels.
• Drive continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work processes are followed, and countermeasures are implemented as appropriate.
• Conduct daily and monthly department meetings regarding department and plant performance, communication, and goals.
• Clearly communicate expectations while consistently holding self and employees accountable for job-related expectations.
• Maintain a positive employee relations environment by adhering to Danfoss Leadership principles.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution and minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing/logistics related field is required. Or in lieu of a degree the applicant can have a minimum of 1 years' experience managing people, along with 7 years' experience in manufacturing/logistics related field would be required.
• Demonstrates analytical capability and creative thinking when planning and solving problems
• Experience engaging in continuous improvement projects and proven ability to be a change agent in their role
• Ability to display strong organizational skills
• Experience working in a fast paced, large dynamic changing environment, is strongly preferred
• Possess strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in business or related field. Experience in supply chain management, machining, lean manufacturing, production planning
