We're currently looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing team.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth across new and existing accounts. You will build strong relationships with key decision-makers, identify sales opportunities, and help expand our market presence by delivering solutions that meet customer needs. This is a strategic and hands-on role ideal for a self-motivated professional passionate about making an impact.

Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 (Depending on Experience)

Candidate must be based in Houston area



Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned accounts
  • Drive profitable sales growth by acquiring new clients, re-engaging dormant accounts, and expanding business with existing customers
  • Research market trends and industry intelligence to uncover customer needs and opportunities early in the sales cycle
  • Deliver compelling business development presentations and lead negotiations through to closing
  • Represent Element in the marketplace by attending industry events, engaging with professional associations, and fostering brand awareness
  • Collaborate with internal teams and technical experts to tailor solutions and drive successful outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM, including contact info, sales activities, pipeline data, and opportunity status
  • Provide leadership within Element by participating in cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Prepare reports and presentations analyzing sales trends and identifying areas for client base expansion
  • Ensure compliance with Element's policies, safety regulations, and industry standards


Skills / Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical experience with a demonstrated track record of success in roles involving sales responsibilities and client engagement

  • Bachelor of Science in Materials Science preferred; other four-year technical or business degrees will be considered based on relevant experience

  • Industry expertise in Materials Testing, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), or Asset Integrity highly preferred

  • Strong ability to interpret and apply technical testing procedures, standards, and customer requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics CRM

  • Demonstrated professional maturity, flexibility, and presence to represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and internal initiatives

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of performance under pressure

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills that support effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization

  • Skilled in client interfacing, needs assessment, and solution development, including support for proposal creation, pricing, and commercial terms

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel as needed for client visits and business development activities
