New York Life Real Estate Investors ("NYLREI"), as part of New York Life Investment Management, is one of the country's largest asset management firms, with nearly $70 billion in AUM. The platform invests in real estate private equity, commercial mortgages, and debt securities.

New York Life Real Estate Investors is seeking a Regional Appraiser for its Dallas office.

Responsibilities
  • Act as consultant to underwriters and Home Office professionals on new loan opportunities and equity investments.
  • Provide third-party oversight for all valuation decisions required in the Southwest region.
  • Manage the engagement, receipt, and review of third-party appraisal reports on large and complex commercial properties.
  • Serve as the primary contact between underwriters and real estate professionals in the marketplace.
  • Provide ongoing risk assessment for the existing portfolio of apartment, office, retail, and industrial assets.
  • Prepare appraisals and assist Acquisitions, Asset Management, and Servicing Groups with valuation issues.
  • Provide appraisal support for our loan monitoring system.
  • Work independently to identify and resolve complex appraisal issues.
  • Moderate travel is required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of valuation experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • TX State General Certification.
  • Advanced candidate or MAI designation.
  • Strong knowledge of all major property types and diverse markets in the Southwest Region.
  • Understanding of commercial real estate valuation theory and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate economics.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$125,000-$150,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
