Work Schedule
8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.

Primary Purpose of Position
Shipping and receiving clerks are responsible for the proper handling and routing of inbound and outbound freight and merchandise. Responsible for the timely submission of accurate shipping/receiving documents.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or successful completion of its equivalency and one year of relevant experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Job Duties

  • Prepares requisitions, shipping manifest, maintain detailed inventory records, receiving, delivering, storing, issuing and care of stockroom /warehouse supplies.
  • Performs more skilled processes/procedures (e.g. mail meters).
  • Serve as a technical resource and may train other employees.

Other Work Responsibilities
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

  • High School diploma.
  • One (1) year Warehouse experience; with experience preparing requisitions, shipping manifest, maintaining detailed inventory records, receiving, delivering, storing, issuing and care of stockroom /warehouse supplies preferred
  • Basic computer experience; Microsoft and Google experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills needed.
  • Experience training others preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; written and verbal needed.
  • Strong attention to details needed.

Necessary Licenses or Certifications
  • Valid driver's license needed for position
