Position Summary

Under the close supervision of the Manager, Volunteer Services, the Associate, Volunteer Services is responsible for the administrative tasks within Volunteer Services.

Compensation
The target salary for this position is $17.00.

The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Specific salary and benefits information is shared at the time of the phone screening based on your location and qualifications.

Responsibilities

    Processes intake and background check requests for all volunteers.
  • Coordinates the publishing of the Volunteer Services newsletter.
  • Submits reimbursement requests as directed by Manager.
  • Audits Stars/Bars/Pins reports and add milestones where applicable.
  • Maintains record of volunteer hours served.
  • Serves as point of contact for volunteer data base; partners with vendor to troubleshoot problems.
  • Sets up the volunteer database tool in preparation for projects and large blood drives.
  • Assists with coordinating projects and recognition events.
  • Conducts annual audit to ensure volunteers have completed required annual trainings and necessary documentation.
  • Orders miscellaneous supplies for volunteers as directed by Manager.
  • Schedules maintenance of volunteer assigned vehicles as directed by Manager.
  • Provides volunteers with access to Teams/Sharepoint.
  • Attends Volunteer Services meetings and documents meeting minutes.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures


Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma required

Experience

  • 1-3 years volunteer experience or customer service experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to apply judgment and good decision-making skills to service-based department required
  • Able to organize work to provide productive work flow required
  • Be able and available to work a flexible work schedule as required based on schedule and departmental needs required
  • Ability to write complex reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with volunteers, donors, employees and external customers of organization utilizing instructive or persuasive skills required
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; multi-task; work with confidential information required
  • Possess a professional demeanor and projection of appropriate professional image; analytical skills; high level of organizational and detail-oriented skills; and excellent communication and customer service skills required
