Overview
The Project Analyst is charged with assisting a Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and/or Program Manager in leading complex technical projects that have been scoped and approved through the Bank's project initiation process. This role is a very important support role to the overall program and assists with project status reporting, issues/risk tracking, action items coordination, and other project administrative needs.
Responsibilities
Provides Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and Program Manager with day-to-day support and assistance for a major project/program/strategic initiative
- Facilitates the creation and maintenance of all projects related PMO artifacts and deliverables (project status reports, issues list, action items, meeting minutes, etc.)
- Provides ongoing project status tracking for reporting to both project stakeholders and senior management
- Provide a leading or participatory role in development of business requirements, scopes of work, etc.
- Assists the Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and/or Program Manager with management of third-party vendors and service providers within the scope of a project to ensure proper coordination and execution between Bank resources and outside resources
- Demonstrates working knowledge of and adheres to Trustmark's project management standards and processes
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year university or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in project management, systems implementation, etc.
- No formal certifications are required, however designations in or pursuit of PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma, or similar are strongly desired.
- Demonstrated background in understanding components of complex projects
- Knowledge of PMI/PMBOK standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively present information to project team members
- Good follow-up skills
- Ability to pick-up and utilize new terminology, concepts, and ideas very quickly
- Good multi-tasking skills and ability to work on tasks based upon urgency/priority
- Excellent organizational skills
- Sufficient skill with required software packages - project management software (ServiceNow PPM, MS Project, or other prevalent PM systems), MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Background in Information Technologies is preferred. Experience in the Financial Services vertical is a plus
