Technical Analyst Senior

Position Description

As a Sr. Technical Analyst, your role will be to partner with business liaisons to translate hardware and software requirements into technical specifications and partners with software developers, network engineers and IT Testing Analysts to develop logical technical processes and technical solutions.

You will do this by:
  • Identifying, creatingand facilitatingtechnical and process design changes by conducting business and systems analysis and designat a complex level; focusing on quality improvement; system availability, security, data reliability; re-engineering processes and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes and partnering with business to ensure solutions provided meet long-term business strategies

  • Creatingtechnical specifications and processes using structured analysis and data and technology modeling techniques (e.g. activity diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams)

  • Gathering and definingfunctional, usability, reliability, and performance requirements in partnership with users for the implementation and enhancement of software or hardware systems.

  • Buildingand leveragingautomation to decrease overall system deployment and support cycle time

  • Participatingin system and user acceptance testing efforts

  • Documenting resolutions, test plans, recommendingcourses of action, and following through on project requirements, designs and enhancements

  • Identifying long and short term opportunities and recommending solutions for improving the overall system health by assessing overall effectiveness and efficiency

  • Buildingstandards, processes and procedures, and guidelines for business liaisons, software developers and network engineering teams

  • Leadingbusiness liaisons in the evaluation of cost-benefit and ROI analyses, and budget planning

  • Understandingsystem interdependencies and collaboratingwith project teams accordingly

  • Performingother duties as assigned

You are the type of person who is/has:
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, with both technical and non technical team members

  • Strong ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements

  • Strong ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products

  • Strong ability to partner with technical analysts, network and software engineers and quality analysts to identify course of resolutions

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills

  • Proven experience writing system roadmaps, software requirement specifications and test specifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum five years of related experience.

  • Demonstrated experience working with Azure and Google Cloud technologies.
