The Manager of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for the leadership of Starkey's Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team. This team is responsible for creating solutions to help accomplish objectives for many engineering and technical functions at Starkey. The primary charter of the team is to explore and bring new process technologies into the organization. Achieving this objective will involve cross-functional collaboration with multiple R&D and Operations departments. The Team will also explore, design, and build a variety of fixtures, equipment, automation, and point solutions to enable Operations' objectives.

The Manager of AME must have the vision, communication ability, technical awareness, persistence, and team-building skills necessary to maintain and deliver current and new manufacturing processes to the company. The Manager must have a passion for continuous improvement and the skills and experience to execute through technically-complex engineering projects. As such, this position requires knowledge in various engineering disciplines to help develop, design, purchase, and implement new process technologies and new solutions key for the organization's growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS



  • Manage the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Department.
  • Maintain and support equipment, fixtures and processes currently used in manufacturing and Starkey.
  • Find and implement new technologies and processes into manufacturing.
  • Provide reasonably priced quality tools, equipment, processes, and materials to manufacturing and other departments at Starkey.


REQUIREMENTS


Education:

  • 4-year degree in a technical field
  • 4-year degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing) desirable.


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in Management leading technical team.
  • Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years designing tools or equipment required



Salary and Other Compensation:
The target rate for this position is between $105,490 to $167,110/year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Benefits:
The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, include medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program, hearing aid benefits, PTO, 6 paid holidays annually, 2 floater days annually, 1 volunteer service day annually, paid paternity leave, and tuition reimbursement.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
