Patient Account Specialist Supervisor is responsible for all areas of Patient Access, reviews all patient charts for accuracy of patient and billing information. Reviews and performs follow-up on all authorizations, specialty referrals, and Dr.'s dictated notes, insurance payments and account balances. Effectively interacts with patients, other health team members while maintaining a standard of professionalism. Patient Account Specialist coordinates with the CBO and CFO providing any support needed to produce accurate and timely billing for processing hospital A/R

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related filed required (effective 4/1/14 for all new hires).
1. 3-5 years of Business office experience preferred.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Knowledge of multiple insurance billing requirements.
4. Knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
6. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Customer Services experience required.
