Fellow, Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security Georgetown University: Main Campus: Walsh School of Foreign Service Location: Washington, DC Open Date: Jan 30, 2025 Deadline: Description The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Research Fellow to lead our WPS Index and support our growing research portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Research, the Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting rigorous quantitative and qualitative research analysis for a variety of GIWPS research outputs. Additionally, the Research Fellow will play a leading role in disseminating research results, engaging with the press, and representing GIWPS at high-level speaking engagements at multilateral, policy, and academic institutions. The ideal candidate will have training in quantitative methods, broad substantive expertise on Women, Peace, and Security, and significant project management experience. The ability to produce policy-oriented analysis and to write for a policy audience is essential. GIWPS is a fast-paced research institution. The Research Fellow must be organized, manage time efficiently, meet multiple deadlines, and produce work on a tight turnaround. The Research Fellow must be a self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a small team. The preferred start date is May 1, 2025. Candidates will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled. The successful applicant will be hired as a Georgetown University Research Fellow, which is a full-time non-tenure line faculty position with benefits. The initial contract will be for one year. Future years are subject to available resources. The projected base salary range is $75,000 - $85,000. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
