We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Outside Machine Shop. This position specifically islocated in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a Trades Planner for the 1st shift. Shift: ALL Security Clearance:No Clearance
The shop planner is responsible for developing (prepare/write/revise), issuing and distributing assigned planning documents, procedures and work items in accordance with all applicable instructions, directives and procedures.
This position reports to shop supervisor or foreman. This position develops and maintains a positive working relationship with others and supports a team approach in the pursuit of common company goals. . PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for effective, efficient and safe accomplishment of all assigned tasks.
Desktop Computer
Regular reliable attendance onsite is an essential function of this position. Must have reliable transportation. Must qualify for a DBIDS badge. Must be able to access all work locations, including government and private ship yards and/or vessels. Must have reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required. Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects or control, and to talk and hear. Must have good eye/hand coordination. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be familiar with working in a naval ship work environment and be able to go aboard marine vessels and the drydock, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment.
