Clinical Social Worker AIDS Clinic Full Time 84370BR Job Summary The Licensed Clinical Social Worker 3 (CSW 3) is the lead medical social worker at the UCSF Women's HIV Program. This role includes clinical and leadership tasks. The CSW 3provides psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, brief therapeutic interventions, group facilitation, consultation and clinical supervision, education, community linkages and supportive services for identified patients, families, and staff. Additionally, the CSW 3 assigns new patients to provider and social worker panels, reviews intake assessments, coordinates psychiatric visits, tracks and addresses no-shows and patients who are not following up with their care team and develops team policies and procedures. The CSW 3 demonstrates cultural sensitivity in working with patients regardless of race, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, cultural beliefs, sexual orientation, etc. The CSW 3 demonstrates ability to work with medically and psychiatrically complex patients in a trauma-informed manner. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $41.79 - $72.17 (Hourly Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Department Description The Women's HIV Program (WHP) is an outpatient primary care clinic for women living with HIV (WLHIV) that uses an innovative model of trauma-informed healthcare to provide culturally sensitive and effective integrated medical and behavioral health care to patients as well as nurturing support to staff and providers. WHP has a strong multidisciplinary team of providers and staff to address patients' needs in a holistic and integrated way-including primary care, pharmacy, Ob/Gyn, psychiatry, therapy, social work, case management, substance use counseling, and nursing. Most patients are low-income women of color living with HIV who have faced significant structural and personal trauma in their lives. Many have co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions as well as co-morbid health conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and lung disease. Our clinic provides both medical and behavioral health interventions to meet patients' needs. Behavioral health interventions include complex care management, outpatient substance use treatment, individual therapy, and multiple groups including Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Seeking Safety, etc. Required Qualifications * Graduate with a MSW, from an Accredited School of Social Work Preferred Qualifications * Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred.
