KPMG is currently seeking a Specialist, Business Analyst to join our Managed Services practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Decompose and document epics into features and user stories down to detailed functional and nonfunctional requirements; host and lead customer (client) workshops to facilitate the team in developing acceptance criteria for user stories; elicit and capture business requirements in an agile software development environment
  • Lead a team of three business analysts to breakdown roles and responsibilities for BA owners of Features and user stories and manages the workload, day to day activities and tasks, and capacity of the project/engagement business analyst team; delegate effectively, while coaching and mentoring senior specialists and specialists on user story and requirements engineering best practices; provide candid feedback to junior business analysts on their solution delivery performance including the quality of business process definitions, process flows, epic, feature, user story and acceptance criteria development; support team members path to success by leveraging strengths and providing opportunities to improve weaknesses
  • Work with our technical leads, project managers and offshore development teams managing work using Agile Scrum and Kanban boards; understands Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies with an ability to provide suggestions on best practices to tailor frameworks; complete peer review of peer business analyst feature development, user stories and acceptance criteria, and requirements engineering deliverables; peer reviews quality assurance (QA) test cases, test steps, and results of user acceptance testing (UAT) for functional and non-functional completeness, along with likelihood of acceptance from the customer/users based on system requirements
  • Participate and lead solution demonstrations (demos) to the solution (Product) ownership team on functionality that has been engineered and built throughout the agile sprint development lifecycle, highlighting the user stories that have been delivered in the previous sprint cycles; represents solution owner in functions including backlog prioritization, feature sequencing, sprint planning/grooming, and user acceptance testing; identify solution change requests/enhancements based on established scope baseline and agreement with solution product ownership team and work with solution manager in correctly documenting change requests and facilitating discussions with the customer on change request priorities
  • Collaborate with solution lead and business teams in defining solution offering and differentiated value, aligning to buyers and personas, and revising/updating continuously as new market feedback, industry and technology trends, competitive intelligence, client responses are received while developing client-ready deliverables related to requirement specification, process analysis, system-based and manual controls, functional design, and test plans; assists with operational transition, training, knowledge transfer and SOP documentation
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of recent experience in the areas of product management, project management, solution development, requirements analysis, business analysis, lead architect and/or solution delivery for a technology services company in a highly technical and fast paced delivery environment, including minimum six months of recent experience in providing client services, such as consulting
  • Bachelor or Master's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, business management, business administration, or business information systems; Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred, not required
  • Prior internship experience in information technology (IT) business management, IT Software development, and business analysis is preferred; experience in executing queries and programming languages (SQL, R, Python, Javascript) preferred and knowledge of product backlog tools including but not limited to Azure DevOps, JIRA, Trello, and more
  • Ability to take strategic direction from executive management; take initiative and see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail; solid project management skills and ability to present work to executive stakeholders
  • Ability to travel as necessary

California Salary Range: $66800 - $130800
