The 68-acre facility is dedicated to serve the research and extension needs for the horticulture industry of Long Island. The facility features agricultural fields and research plots, state-of-the-art greenhouses, a nursery and container production area, and a plant tissue culture facility in support of research projects ranging from grape and vegetable production, to ornamentals and floriculture. LIHREC is located close to the tip of Long Island, in the heart of Suffolk County. Unique growing conditions on Long Island provide exceptional opportunities for this region. What you will do: The temporary summer field assistant will help maintain the horticultural and agricultural crops at LIHREC as well as property and facilities maintenance.
What We Need:
This is a full-time, 39 hour per week, May 2025 through September 2025, located at Cornell University's Long Island Horticultural Research and Extension Center in Long Island, NY. This is not a benefits eligible position. Pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00 per hour. This position is not benefits eligible. This position is not available for Visa Sponsorship.
