Clinical Research Assistant

Job Description
Clinical Research Assistant provides research support to Principal Investigator (s) and general support to faculty and staff of the Department of Anesthesiology in partnership with the College of Medicine Center for Clinical Research Management (CCRM); assists with daily activites and all phases of clinical research projects; assists with recruiting and enrolling patients into clinical studies; participates in activities to ensure compliance with all federal and funding sponsor regulations; as needed, assists in obtaining resources needed in developing new clinical projects. Work schedule is primarily day shift Monday - Friday, but will be expected to adjust schedule to facilitate clinical study needs outside of that schedule.

Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in general biology

Desired Qualifications
Experience in a clinical research capacity desired; computer skills required with experience and knowledge of Microsoft Sofware applications desired; knowledge of medical terminology desired.

Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Flexible hours will be required as this position may require being on call during the evenings, weekends, and holidays.
