Job Description

NetImpact Strategies is seeking an Application Automation Team Lead to manage and scale DevOps pipeline operations for a federal program with a broad and growing portfolio of .NET Framework, .NET Core, Java, and Node.js applications. This leader will be responsible for enabling secure and efficient delivery through standardized CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code strategies. The ideal candidate has a strong command of the DevOps toolchain and experience leading automation at enterprise scale across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities
    Lead a team of DevOps Engineers in the design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure consistent automation and integration across a large portfolio of applications using Jenkins (Pipeline-as-Code), SonarQube, GitHub/GitLab, and Nexus/Artifactory.
  • Build infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform and manage environment configurations with Puppet.
  • Oversee containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, OpenShift).
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to support build/test/package/deploy workflows for multiple stacks:
    • .NET Framework: MSBuild, MSTest/NUnit, NuGet, IIS, Octopus Deploy
    • .NET Core / .NET 6+: dotnet build, xUnit, Docker, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Kubernetes
    • Java: Maven/Gradle, JUnit/TestNG, .jar/.war packaging, Tomcat/WildFly, OpenShift
    • Node.js: npm/webpack, Mocha/Jest, PM2/NGINX, Docker, Azure App Services
  • Implement CI quality gates, SAST/DAST security scans, infrastructure guardrails, and self-service pipeline components.
  • Align team activities with the DevSecOps roadmap, change management strategy, and security integration plan.


Qualifications

Required
  • 10+ years of DevOps or automation engineering experience
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered)
  • Demonstrated success implementing automation across large, complex application portfolios.
  • Expert-level proficiency in CI/CD tools: Jenkins (Groovy), SonarQube, Git, and artifact management systems.
  • Advanced experience with Terraform, Puppet, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of modern DevSecOps practices, including static/dynamic security testing and compliance automation.
  • Strong familiarity with AWS (EKS, EC2, Fargate) and Azure (DevOps Pipelines, AKS).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
