Software Engineer

Assured Information Security (AIS) has openings for Software Engineers at various levels to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. These positions require a TS/SCI w/FS Poly. We are looking for someone with strong telecommunications and signals analysis background. You will be working with a large team of highly qualified, skilled and motivated professionals, designing, implementing and testing solutions to address challenges in an evolving landscape.

Education Required:

Level 0

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

* Four (4) years software engineering experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree

Level 1

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

* Seven (7) years' experience as a software engineer required.

Experience Required:

* Similar projects or programs would be those with a team of software and systems engineers working with customers to define, document, and implement requirements for a software (or software and hardware) solution, testing, deploying and maintaining that solution, and potentially working with end users to troubleshoot and solve issues with the released software.

* Proficiency in Python

* Experience using JavaScript or TypeScript

* Strong testing skills

* Must be comfortable working in Linux

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience developing unit tests to automate regression testing

* Strong understanding of data structures and multi-threaded processing

* Experience designing and implementing object-oriented solutions

* Experience with basic networking,

* Familiarity with various signals processing systems

* Basic understanding of modern telephony systems and cellular technologies

Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ FS Poly

US Salary Range: $137,000 - $177,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
