Responsibilities

Join Our Team: Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of adolescents while having a blast at work? At Newport Healthcare, we're on the lookout for a passionate and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team! You'll be the superhero of on-site care, collaborating with our amazing Medical, Clinical, and Care Coordinator teams to provide top-notch support to our young clients. If you're all about teamwork, compassion, and a sprinkle of fun, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

Health Heroics: Keep an eye on chronic health conditions like diabetes and respiratory issues. You'll be the go-to person for monitoring and supporting our clients' health journeys!

Data Detective: Gather vital signs and patient data, then report your findings to our medical team. Your keen observations will help us provide the best care possible!

Test Taker Extraordinaire: Conduct various medical tests, from TB tests to COVID-19 swabs. You'll be the friendly face behind the lab work!

Sample Superstar: Collect and prepare blood and urine samples for lab analysis. Your attention to detail will shine here!

Protocol Pro: Follow all reporting and biohazard protocols like a pro. Safety first, fun always!

Medication Maestro: Prepare and administer medications under supervision. You'll help keep our clients on track with their health!

Inventory Innovator: Count and manage medications, and conduct audits as needed. Your organizational skills will keep everything running smoothly!

Team Player: Attend team meetings and contribute your ideas. We love collaboration and creativity!

Admin Ace: Handle tasks like faxing and scanning documents with flair. You'll keep our operations flowing seamlessly!

MAT Certified Meds: Once you're certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT), you'll be ready to administer medications in line with state regulations!


Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Certification from an accredited training program required.
  • Six months' prior experiencepreferred
  • Experience in residential care preferred
  • EMR savvy
  • MAT certified preferred or must become certified within 60 days

Salary Range:

$22.82 - $27.38 per hour, based on education and experience
