Ruchman is looking to hire a Senior Lead Tour Guide (Supervisor) to support the Bureau of Engraving And Printing (BEP). Individuals must be able to serve as a Host/Hostess and conduct tours for a U.S. Government agency. Must be well-groomed, articulate, dependable, have strong interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service experience, and work well under pressure. Position requires basic computer skills to research and provide information. Must have general understanding of American history as well as knowledge of antiques and artifacts.

Senior lead tour guide will oversee tour operations and will report to the project manager. The SLTG is responsible for supervising, scheduling, and reviewing the daily tour scheduling. SLTG will conduct an analysis of public feedback and tour numbers. As well as additional responsibilities, as assigned.

Public speaking experience a must. Candidates must be able to obtain a government clearance and work flexible schedules. US Citizenship required.

Senior Lead Tour Guide Qualifications:



  • Must have at least four (4) years customer service experience with increasing responsibility in a public tour service and/or visitor center.
  • Must have experience supervising others.
  • Must have experience with staff scheduling and managing a complex schedule.
  • The SLTG shall have knowledge, skills, ability and experience in the following:
  • At least one (1) year public speaking experience presenting to larger groups (over 30 people), involving making high-level concepts accessible to a variety of ages.
  • At least one (1) year computer experience using MS Word, and MS Excel applications.
  • Current CPR certification from a program consistent with, or provided by, the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Must enjoy working with the public
  • Must be willing and able to function in all the tour areas (indoor and outdoor)
  • Must be prompt and dependable
  • Must have open availability, including working flexible hours
  • Must be an awesome team player, demonstrating flexibility and initiative
  • Must possess the ability to work with fun diverse staff and public under fast-paced, ever-changing conditions
  • Ability and willingness to stand for long periods of time
  • Comfortable with public speaking in front of large groups
