Job Description

Join Our Team as a Digital Scanning Technician III at MSK!

As a Digital Slide Technician II, you'll play a vital role in supporting MSK's innovative approach to cancer diagnostics and research. You'll help lead the transformation from traditional glass slides to high-resolution digital pathology, working with state-of-the-art imaging systems and collaborating across teams to ensure image quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Role Overview:

    Independently prepare and scan pathology slides, identifying and resolving issues that impact image quality or case workflow
  • Perform in-depth quality control reviews to ensure accurate linkage in the LIS and readiness for clinical or research use
  • Operate and troubleshoot digital scanners and assist in resolving imaging or equipment-related errors
  • Document key data and escalate imaging defects, ensuring seamless transitions between shifts and maintaining compliance
  • Support training of junior team members and contribute to workflow improvements
  • Collaborate across departments to prioritize cases, process rushes, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality digital images

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a health, science, or imaging field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a pathology, histology, or digital imaging lab
  • Familiarity with digital slide scanners, image review platforms, and LIS workflows
  • Ability to train and guide others in lab procedures and equipment use

Additional Information:

  • Work site: 1275 York Ave, New York, NY 10065
  • Shift: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7 am- 3 pm with weekends

Pay Range: $22.98-$31.80
