Location: LaGuardia Airport

Shift: 1st; 7:00am-5:00pm (Wednesday-Saturday)

Pay: $34.00-$41.50/Hr.

The Data Communications Technician will be responsible for supporting and maintaining technology systems, ensuring seamless operations, and collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of network fundamentals, IP connectivity, IP services, and security fundamentals.

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network systems.

  • Collaboratively define and document functional and technical requirements and specifications, business processes, workflows, and reporting outputs

  • Understand business issues and data challenges of business lines and business service delivery teams

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Familiarity with web based application functionality

  • Configure applications as defined by requirements

  • Troubleshoot configuration related issues independently as well as in conjunction with other product specialists

  • Follow any defined implementation processes and also identify when process gaps exist; identify solutions to address gaps

  • Identify gaps in business requirements and document those issues

  • Participate in business-led change management processes

  • Deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget management processes

  • Work closely with Product Manager or lead Product Specialist to keep informed of latest product updates

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment and share technical capabilities within the organization

  • Train independently and learn using hands on practical scenarios

  • Identify and adapt to changes in priorities

  • Apply what was previously learned to solution new problems

  • Organize a technical project from beginning to end. Identify what steps should come first, second, third, etc..

  • Work in a team atmosphere to help solution technical problems

  • Develop and execute functional test plans with business subject matter experts

  • Develop user acceptance test (UAT) plans and tools, and manage the UAT process

  • Ensure test results are identified, documented, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner

  • Communicate technical and process changes to development team

  • Assist in management of project deadlines and schedules

  • Communicate and apply project standards

  • Consistently deliver high-quality services

  • Develop training, reference guides, and product support materials

  • Preferred: CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or related certifications

  • Preferred: Experience using a Work Order Management System to track issues and tasks

Estimated total compensation for this position:

70,900.00 - 86,800.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
