Research Assistant - Teague Lab (Staff Wage)

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to join Dr. Gerry Teague's lab through the summer of 2025. The Research Assistant will support ongoing research in pediatric asthma by reviewing various types of data, including medical chart reviews, clinical trial data, and other related materials.

The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Help to formulate research methods, suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, recommend solutions, and collaborate in the development of new techniques.
• Help develop protocol and criteria, determine interview procedures, and approve protocols.
• Independently operate equipment and perform laboratory techniques.
• Collect, screen, and verify data.
• Conduct data analyses and interpret and implement research methodology based on outcomes of analyses.
• Assist in authoring material for publications.
• Participate in presentations with Principal Investigators (PIs) at meetings or conferences.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
