Department OverviewThe Systems Integration Team sets business goals to successfully implement and integrate complex Motorola systems. This includes working with various disciplines both internal and external to Motorola in the interest of providing total customer satisfaction and achieving Division goals. The candidate should be be a seasoned professional having wide-ranging experience who can use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Job Description
Overview:
Manages the complete lifecycle of diverse construction projects, including data centers, facility upgrades, telecommunications sites (towers, poles, shelters), photovoltaic power plants (solar), and wireless telecommunications systems. Oversees all aspects of project delivery, from pre-construction planning through final completion and closeout. Responsible for budget adherence, schedule management, and overall project profitability. Ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Acts as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Pre-Construction Responsibilities:
Develop detailed scopes of work (SOWs) for engineering and design firms. Participate in site visits and coordinate necessary site surveys. Review and comment on conceptual and construction drawings. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring adherence to milestones. Secure necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies. Support customer site acquisition activities, including application submissions. Manage and participate in internal and client meetings.
Construction Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities. Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality. Identify and resolve potential issues or conflicts that may impact project schedule or budget. Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Prepare and submit daily reports, documenting progress, issues, and safety performance. Maintain accurate records of all project expenses and track labor productivity. Collaborate with project managers to provide regular status updates and forecast potential risks. Manage and resolve change orders and other contract modifications. Assist in the development of methods of procedures (MOPs) as needed. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience in managing a wide range of construction projects related to telecommunications. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively. Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices. Proficient in using project management software and other relevant tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
Site clearing and environmental compliance (stormwater management, grading). Excavation for tower foundations and building slabs; formwork, rebar installation. Concrete standards and placement. Trenching and underground utility installation. Ground ring installation and resistivity testing. Tower construction and rigging (including crane operations and safety protocols). Electrical work, including commercial power connections.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred but not required. #LI-AB1 #LI-REMOTE Target Base Salary Range $98,100.00 - $196,200.00
