Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an
HRIS Analyst for University Human Resources (
UHR). The
HRIS Analyst is integral part of the Human Resource Information System team that is responsible for the data integrity, reporting analytics, system configuration and continuous process improvement within the human capital management system.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Maintains employee personal and professional data in alignment with various union negotiated agreements, university policies and practices, as well as federal & state regulations.
- Partners with all UHR functional areas, Payroll Services, and Office of Information Technology to meet day-to-day operational requirements.
- Updates employee life cycle changes within PeopleSoft in accordance to negotiated contracts, policies, and federal/state regulations.
- Prepares data files that aid in updating mass employment records for purposes of job-related changes and fiscal / year-end re-evaluation processes.
- Prioritizes the data processing schedules and ensure that all stakeholders are kept up to date with the processing timelines.
- Serves as the subject matter expert on absence management inquiries and employee record updates relating to absence management.
- Supports program initiatives relating to the cyclical HouseStaff program, Board of Governors review, out of cycle faculty promotions, and various salary implementation programs.
- Serves as the point of contact for all salary implementation inquiries and corrections to salary records.
- Works with the team to respond to all ServiceNow inquiries and help train the team on the navigation, processing, and closing out of the cases.
- Gathers reporting requirements and generate queries per request.
- Assists with generating audits to verify data accuracy.
- Prepares comparison reports to evaluate trends in the data
- Creates reports to support the compliance requests the department receives from UHR, OULR, and OGC.
- Assists with gathering requirements for system modifications, upgrades, fixes and interfaces.
- Responsible for system testing for modifications, updates, fixes, and interfaces.
- Provides user support for troubleshooting and correcting data integrity issues.
- Collaborates with HRIS leadership to provide systematic approaches to enhance system functionality and support best business practices.
- Assists in process improvement and automating processes to streamline workload.
- Assists with documenting the implementation of functional enhancements to reduce manual entry and improve accuracy and data integrity.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in Human Resources and/or Computer Science.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and understand effective dating records within a Human Capital Management system.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and two years' experience working within Ms Excel.
- Must be able to interpret and understand language within union negotiated contracts.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Prefer 3 years' experience working with Excel.
- Prefer two years of relevant experience in business analysis, systems administration, or query report writing
