Summary

Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use. May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.

Responsibilities



  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing of LGE companies in Americas
  • Perform monthly GL or AD adjustments, making contracts with other LGE Companies regarding closing status and issues
  • Monitor general ledger and monthly accrual expenses. Checking the balances of accrued expense accounts, reviewing GL journal entries
  • Conduct monthly financial reporting and BS and PL analysis
  • Report on closing results such as income statement, expense accounts fluctuation
  • Reporting on closing check lists review, AP/AR/GL aging reasons investigation
  • Compliance with LG GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS. Studying IFRS rules and accounting treatments, IFRS training participation.
  • Delivering LGHQ's new rules and policies in accounting to local LGE company's accounting staff
  • Visiting other LGE companies for on-site financial statements review.
  • AR Allowance, Inventory Allowance, Warrantee reserve for sales calculation and analysis. Reviewing allowance accounts fluctuation


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in Accounting (large company experience preferred)
  • Experience and knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Bilingual in English and Korean
  • In-depth use and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills
  • A results-oriented team-player with a self-motivated, proactive, and positive can-do attitude


Recruiting Range
$115,000 - $135,000 USD
