Job Title: Operator III Classification:Hourly Reports To: Production Supervisor Department:Mailer Production Shift: 6pm-6am 2-2-3
Summary of Job Operator III is responsible for directing production crews to ensure efficient and high-quality operation of production equipment. This role demands strong leadership abilities to maintain productivity, minimize waste, and meet quality standards. Key responsibilities include interpreting job tickets, setting up and operating all in-line and ancillary equipment, performing minor mechanical repairs, and tracking line counts accurately. Operator III works to foster a continuous improvement in culture and ensures safety protocols and departmental housekeeping standards are upheld. Ideal candidates are highly skilled in press operations, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and excel in effective team communication. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and/or Operations Manager, oversees line hourly personnel to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance, customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with EverTec policies and procedures. Overview:Must have the technical ability to operate all types of converting line and finishing equipment within Pregis standards for waste, quality and productivity. Understands and adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures. Set up and operate all special functions and capabilities with minimal supervision or direction. Train other employees when requested or required to do so. Analyze issues, determine, and implement solutions. Provide innovative / creative solutions for opportunities and or improvements.
